on the publication of her latest book: Thomas Hardy A-Z, a prodigious 416 pages' worth of elegantly written, exhaustively researched scholarship on the Dorset literary heavyweight.


I'm thinking now may be a good time for me to confess that I never did quite get around to reading Jude the Obscure in AP English (I have, however, been known to enjoy a pint of Thomas Hardy's Ale).


seriously, though, it's an impressive piece of work (filial bias notwithstanding).
while we're at it, here's Mom's complete oeuvre.
