semantic web-heads, take note: iaslash has published excerpts from an article on ontologies vs. taxonomies, an Online magazine piece in which Katherine Harris splits a few philosophical hairs between the CS world view and the LIS world view.
I have to confess I had no idea Online still even existed - I used to read it now and then back in my librarian-ing days, but haven't looked at a copy since c.1994 - due at least in part to Online's oxymoronic decision not to publish most of their articles online.
